I don't like anything artificial! I would consider myself an extreme purest...I don't like flavored coffee, flavored cigars, flavored whiskey or anything fake. To me, you can't improve on what nature provides. That being said, I've had numerous requests for a "Sweet-Tip" cigar blend. I have toyed with the idea for several years, but every time I approached a factory that produces a sweet tip cigar, I would ask the same question, "what do you use for a sweetener"? Every time, the answer was the same, "saccharine". That was a deal killer for me...I knew the stuff was poison & I didn't want to have anything to do with it, so I just tabled the project. Well a few months ago, I was talking to a good friend of mine who is a master cigar blender, and he told me that he had perfected the art of blending premium cigar tobacco with freshly pressed pure sugar cane. I was immediately enthralled, and after trying some of his handwork, I immediately asked him to make a special blend for us, which he graciously agreed to. The sweetness of the cane sugar does not overpower the flavor of the tobacco, but gently accentuates the natural sweetness of the leaf. I never enjoyed a sweet tip cigar until now...it is getting rave reviews from our customers and we are very happy with the way this project turned out. This is starting out as a limited release, small batch project, but if demand is strong, which so far it has been, this may become a regular production item in the future.
